El Hotel, como negocio familiar, se cre\u00f3 en la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os cuarenta (s.XX), en la posguerra,\u00a0 su fundadora Salom\u00e9 Rafols (<strong>1\u00aa Generaci\u00f3n<\/strong>), al enviudar habilit\u00f3 su casa, de considerables dimensiones, para albergar trabajadores de la construcci\u00f3n y personal m\u00e9dico del Sanatorio de \u201cSant Joan de Deu\u201d (el actual Hotel RA en Sant Salvador-El Vendrell).<\/p>\n<p>Comenz\u00f3 dando servicio de comidas elaborando platos marineros que le hab\u00edan ense\u00f1ado pescadores del pueblo.<\/p>\n<p>Ayudada por sus dos hijas, Mar\u00eda Rosa y Antonia, puso en marcha el negocio, pensi\u00f3n que dispon\u00eda de 20 habitaciones y restaurante. Comenzaba a ser frecuentado\u00a0 por veraneantes de la zona y turismo nacional.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1962<\/strong>. En el a\u00f1o 1962\u00a0 se llev\u00f3 a cabo una reforma que ampliaba el establecimiento hasta 45 habitaciones y le daba la categor\u00eda de Hotel. El negocio era llevado por sus hijas (<strong>2\u00aa Generaci\u00f3n<\/strong>) y su Yerno, Jos\u00e9 Gallo, abierto exclusivamente en temporada de verano, era ocupado en su mayor\u00eda por turistas franceses, alemanes y holandeses coincidiendo con el<em>boom<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/em>tur\u00edstico de la d\u00e9cada de los 60-70. Se comenz\u00f3 a trabajar con agencias.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1977<\/strong>. Posteriormente, a partir de 1977 se hizo cargo del negocio la<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>3\u00aa generaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, su nieta mayor, Montserrat Gallo, y su esposo Guillermo Strijbos. Se creo una cartera de clientes particulares que contin\u00faan confiando en la filosof\u00eda familiar del Hotel Salom\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2012<\/strong>.
